The Children’s Museum of Green Bay, in conjunction with BayCare Clinic and United Healthcare, will celebrate its 5th annual Worldwide Day of Play! Worldwide Day of Play is a national event created by Nickelodeon. On this day, Nickelodeon suspends their broadcasting and goes dark encouraging children to get out and go play!
The Children’s Museum of Green Bay is joining this initiative with a family fun walk, just shy of a mile, from The Children’s Museum through downtown Green Bay and along the Fox River. Along the way, families will enjoy bubbles, a snack, exercise stops and some sightings of your favorite Nickelodeon friends, including Skye and Chase from Paw Patrol! Back at the museum, enjoy more play with a DJ, giant Twister, face painting, sports, art and more!

This fun-filled family event is all about turning off the TV and going out and getting moving. “At The Children’s Museum of Green Bay, we know that play is child’s work and it’s through play that children engage and interact with the world around them,” said Gina Anderson, Program Manager at The Children’s Museum of Green Bay.
There are still sponsorship and volunteer opportunities available for this event. If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Gina Anderson at 432-4397 or ganderson@gbchildrensmuseum.org.
The Children’s Museum of Green Bay is a 501 c 3 community funded, visitor-supported organization. Please allow us to continue to make a difference in the lives of young children each year with a gift to the museum.
