Spectrum will bring the mission of safe and healthy homes to Menasha on Nov. 25 to support Charter Communications, Inc.’s (NASDAQ: CHTR) first national philanthropic initiative, Spectrum Housing Assist.

Spectrum is partnering with the St. Joseph Food Program to distribute Safe & Healthy Home kits to local residents during the holiday season. These kits, distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, contain easy-to-install and -use products to help make homes safer and healthier, such as a smoke alarm, carbon monoxide tester, weather stripping, first aid kit, and more. Spectrum also donated $2,500 to the St. Joseph Food Program earlier this year, as part of the company’s philanthropic program, Spectrum Employee Community Grants.

“We are incredibly grateful for the generous donation of Safe and Healthy Home Kits, as well as a $2,500 grant from Spectrum,” said Kendra Schmidt, Director of Marketing and Development. “The grant was used to purchase food items such as milk, eggs, meat, dairy and produce. Being able to provide a safe home through the kits, as well as put food on the table, can provide relief for people who may be facing a difficult time as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Businesses such as Spectrum that continue to work alongside St. Joe’s make a difference to the people of this community.”

Spectrum’s donation supports critical services during this time of need. “Strong partnerships in the community such as this one with St. Joe’s and Spectrum distributing Safe and Healthy Home kits give our residents peace of mind in their home, giving them one less thing to worry about in uncertain times,” said Menasha Mayor Merkes.

Since its inception, Spectrum Housing Assist has helped improve more than 50,000 homes. To learn more about Spectrum Housing Assist, visit responsibility.spectrum.com.
