Trader Joe's, Cheesecake Factory Top Wish List for Bally's

The renovation at Southridge Mall has sparked development on 76th Street, including new restaurants, stores and lots of remodels.

One vacancy that sticks out is the former Bally's Fitness location. Greendale Patch asked last week what you would most like to see in the old Bally's, and, higher-end grocery stores and restaurants topped the list. 

Commenters on the article said Trader Joe's would be "awesome" and "great," though Greendale Family wondered whether "it would fly with Walmart across the street."

SouthShore Skamp had a hefty list of restaurants that would be welcome, like Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Chang's, McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant, Five Guys Burgers or Macaroni Grill. On the Skamp's no list were Dave & Buster's and Chuck E. Cheese.

The responses on Facebook were similar, with four people weighing in in favor of Trader Joe's, and others angling for Cheesecake Factory, Buffalo Wild Wings, In N Out Burger and the return of World Market.
