Dr. Dawg Owner Has Sights Set on Early April Opening

Signage was erected Thursday morning, and the interior has been completely gutted and remodeled.

After completely gutting and remodeling the former Hooters restaurant, Dr. Dawg owner David Ross says the doors to his Chicago-style hot dog joint will open soon.

Ross said there is not a firm date for the opening but anticipates it being in early April. On Thursday, workers erected "Dr. Dawg" signage on the front and side of the building.

The restaurant is located at 7700 W. Layton Avenue, near the busy intersection of Layton and 76th Street.
