Xperience Fitness in Greenfield Closed

Xperience Fitness, which replaced Cardinal Fitness on 84th Street and Layton Avenue last spring, has closed.

A phone call to the fitness center went unanswered during normal business hours, and the gym was closed Monday morning. In addition, two large "for lease" signs are on the property.

Last spring, Vertical Fitness Group reached agreements with four Milwaukee-area Cardinal Fitness gyms, including Greenfield's at 8401 W. Layton Ave., and converted 11 Gold's Gyms in Wisconsin and Minnesota to Xperience Fitness gyms.

Since spring, a temporary, orange "Xperience Fitness" banner was on the building instead of permanent signage.

It is unclear if any other Xperience Fitness locations have closed, but a new gym in Brookfield is expected to open in April.
