64-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies in Crash
A 64-year-old man from Cornucopia, Wis. has died after the motorcycle he was driving was struck by the driver of a Volkswagen Jetta Saturday
BAYFIELD COUNTY, WI — A 64-year-old man from Cornucopia, Wis. has died after the motorcycle he was driving was struck by the driver of a Volkswagen Jetta late Saturday night.
According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, at approximately 7:05 p.m. a Volkswagen Jetta was traveling northbound on State Highway 13. The Jetta
attempted to make a left hand turn onto Superior Avenue in Cornucopia when the Jetta struck a motorcycle that was traveling southbound on Highway 13.
The motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries from this crash. The driver of the Jetta was treated and released by EMS at the scene.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. The crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Bayfield County Sheriff’s Department.
