Agenda: Hudson Area Joint Library Finance Committee to Discuss Possible Referendum

The Hudson Area Joint Library Finance Committee will meet at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 10 at the Hudson Area Library.

The committee will discuss a possible fall referendum, and consider making a recommendation to the Board to pass a resolution seeking a fall referendum by the city of Hudson to:

• Sustain the library financially and to restore it to hours and programming on par with its peer group of libraries;
• Convert the Hudson Area Library to a municipal library;
• And to support full rural circulation funding of libraries within the county including the Hudson Area Library.

1. Discuss fall referendum prospects and consider making a recommendation to the Board to have the Board pass a resolution seeking a fall referendum by the City of Hudson to sustain the library financially and to restore it to hours and programming on par with its peer group of libraries, to convert the Hudson Area Library to a municipal library, and to support full rural circulation funding of libraries within the county including the Hudson Area Library.
