Approval for 3rd Annual Color Run Sought

A color run to benefit Hudson High School's instrumental music department is going before city officials for approval Thursday.

HUDSON -- The Hudson High School's Instrumental Music department is asking public officials to approve this year's plans to stage the group's third-annual color run.

According to official documents submitted to the city common council for approval, this years run will follow the same route as last year, with the color stations being placed on public property and not in the residential areas. The date of this race is Saturday September 24, 2016 from 8-11:30 am.

The run, and its plans, go before the Common Council this Thursday for consideration and possible approval.

Money raised from this event will be used for scholarships, instrument purchases, future trips, and building the instrumental music program.

Registration 8-9 a.m.
Run 9-11 a.m.
Post-run celebration 11:30 a.m.

Registration woudl start on one of the playing fields at the high school. Students and sponsors will be throwing color at the different color stations listed here:

1. High School southside parking lot
2. Northside lawn of Government Center Parking Lot on Carmichael
3. Walk trail path off Northridge Drive
4. Walking trail connecting Oak St. with High school parking lot.
5. Finish line on one of the high school playing fields.
