Brian Collins Band to Play Lakefront Park Band Shell Tonight

Brian Collins, originally from Georgia and now living in Nashville, has been playing his unique style of southern rock, country and soul for years. Tonight he'll take the stage at Lakefront Park in downtown Hudson.

Hudson will get a nice treat Tuesday night when Nashville recording artists The Brian Collins Band play a free show at the Lakefront Park Band Shell.

Music starts at 7 p.m.

The Brian Collins Band is touring the Midwest, and whenever Collins passes through, he makes it a point to swing by Kimberlie Gilbertson's home in Houlton.

“Brian stops in at my house whenever he tours the Midwest and decided to do the Hudson show as a personal favor,” Gilbertson said. “I am a big fan and wanted my hometown to get a chance to enjoy his music.”

Collins website describes his style as a cross between Tom Petty, Bob Seger, Zac Brown, and Marc Broussard:

“His tone, driven by the beats of a stripped-down percussion kit and bass lines, offer a well-rounded, energetic live performance that engulfs the senses and takes audiences on a notable journey.”

Collins has recently been in the studio recording some new songs, Gilbertson said, so it is a real treat for him to be in the Midwest.

“Brian will knock your socks off,” she said. “He is an amazing artist.”
