DPI School Report Cards Came Out Thursday, Here's How Hudson Performed

Here is how each school in the Hudson School District fared based on DPI report cards:

HUDSON — School report cards released Thursday by the State Department of Public Instruction show that the Hudson School District "exceeds expectations."

Scores are calculated for each of the following priority areas on the state report card:

• Student Achievement proficiency in English Language Arts (ELA) and mathematics on state assessments

• Student Growth measured by year-to-year improvements in achievement

• Closing Gaps in performance between specific student groups (comparing English language learners, low-income students, students with disabilities, and members of a racial or an ethnic group with their peers)

• On-Track and Post-secondary Readiness is a measurement using reliable predictors of high school graduation and potential post high school success

The state DPI then weighs those metrics in order to deliver schools and districts a score from 0 to 100., Schools and districts then fall into one of five categories ranging from “significantly exceeds expectations” to “fails to meet expectations.”

According to the DPI report cards, Hudson received 79.5 points and garnered four stars, meaning it "exceeded expectations."
