Driver With Drugs Arrested With 5 And 12-Year-Old in Car

JACKSON COUNTY, WI — A 24-year-old man was arrested on drug charges while driving with two children in his car at Highway 10 and Price Road.

Anthony Shoemaker, 24 years of age, from Osseo has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 2nd offense, with two children in the vehicle under the age of 16.

On Sunday, July 2, 2017, at approximately 12:17 pm, Troopers from Northwest Region, Eau Claire Post arrested Anthony Shoemaker for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance, 2nd offense.

Two children, 4, and 12, were passengers in the vehicle at the time of the traffic stop. Shoemaker is also being charged with possession of a class 2 narcotic with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Shoemaker was booked into the Jackson Co Jail pending an initial appearance.
