Hommes Named to Pioneer Press All-East Metro Baseball Team

The Hudson High School baseball team finished its 2013 with a 14-2 record, the best in school history, and Michael Hommes was a big reason for it.

The senior centerfielder/pitcher was named to the Pioneer Press All-East Metro Team this week.

Here's what the Pioneer Press had to say about Hommes:

A three-sport standout, he led the Raiders to their first Big Rivers Conference championship since 1979. Batted .404 with an on-base percentage of .464. Scored 19 runs and had 10 extra-base hits. On the mound, was 2-0 with three saves; opponents batted .194 against him. The school's starting quarterback in football and starting center in hockey. Won conference championships in all three sports his senior year. Will play baseball at Winona State.
