Dear City of Hudson Residents and Visitors,

Effective Monday, June 8th, City Hall will reopen on a limited basis to the public. Staff will continue to be reduced with most employees working from home. As part of our phased reopening plan, all City Hall staff will be rotating into the building on a weekly basis as the City progresses back to normal on-site operations. For any business that needs to be conducted at City Hall, we ask people to consider visiting our website or calling the appropriate office, rather than visiting in person. City emails and phones will continue to be answered by our staff. As has been the case throughout this pandemic, we will continue to conduct business as usual, just in a different way. You can contact the employee or Department you need to speak with directly via email or phone. A list of City Departments can be found here, https://www.hudsonwi.gov/8/Departments Our goal continues to be to limit person to person contact as much as possible. If you do come into City Hall we ask that you wear a mask when entering and during your time in the building.

City Council and most other City Committee/Commission meetings will now be held both in person and via Zoom. If you attend a City meeting in person, please understand that we will be practicing social distancing. This means that all members of the Council and public will be seated at least 6 feet apart and we ask that everyone attending please wear masks. If we do not have enough room in the Council Chambers we will have a side room available to watch the proceedings via live TV. In the event that the side room reaches its occupancy limit, you may be asked to leave.

The Hudson Public Library will begin a phased reopening to the public on June 15th. In the meantime, we are encouraging the use of our digital materials and resources as well as our curbside pick-up program. Patrons are encouraged to visit our website: www.hudsonpubliclibrary.org to access our digital resources including Wisconsin’s Digital Library and Tumblebooks available at https://hudsonpubliclibrary.org/resources/.

The City is committed to sharing the latest information with you as we are able. Follow our website and social media platforms for the latest updates as we work towards fully reopening all of our City facilities.

Sincerely,

Rich O’Connor

Mayor, City of Hudson
