Letter to the Editor: Jay Kimble Will Make 'Superb' Chair for Town of St. Joseph

To the Editor,

I am writing this letter in support of the candidacy of Jay Kimble for Board Chair in the Town of St. Joseph.

I served as a councilmember on the Stillwater City Council when Jay was the mayor there. His leadership made my job easy and fun. Jay ran a very efficient meeting, yet always allowed citizens to speak and listened to what their issues were. Jay is a very respectful leader, helping others to deal with complex issues and promoting compromise.

Jay worked to get us a new St. Croix River Crossing for many years. He kept the bridge project on life support for years, so that it could finally come to fruition. Without Jay, I am convinced we wouldn’t be getting a new bridge.

Stillwater was sad to see Jay move to Wisconsin. The residents of St. Joseph are very lucky to have Jay in their town. He will make a superb Chair for his new town. I would encourage you to vote for Jay.
