Minnesota Couple Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Accident on I-94

DUNN COUNTY, WI — A Minnesota couple was seriously injured after their motorcycle crashed on an I-94 ramp late Saturday.

According to officials, on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 8:28 p.m., the Wisconsin State Patrol received a report of a motorcycle crash on I-94 westbound near the on-ramp at mile marker 41 in Dunn County near Menomonie.

Troopers discovered that a 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle being driven by Dale Dean Thisius, age 56, from Edina crashed on the ramp. A passenger on the motorcycle was identified as Teresa Ida Thisius, age 53, from Edina.

Both occupants received injuries in the crash and were transported by ambulance to local hospitals for treatment. Teresa Thisius was wearing a helmet. Dale Thisius was charged with Criminal Reckless Driving Causing Bodily Harm.

Officials are stating that alcohol use was a factor in the crash. Blood alcohol results are pending. The crash remains under investigation at this time.
