Motorcycle Driver In Critical Condition After Collision With Deer on I-94

ST. CROIX COUNTY, WI — A 42-year-old man is in critical condition after an early-morning crash involving the motorcycle he was riding and a deer on I-94.

On Wednesday, June 8, 2017 at approximately 4:50 am Eau Claire Post troopers responded to I-94 mile post 11 west bound for a motorcycle vs deer crash. Upon arrival the right lane was obstructed and traffic had to be routed around the crash scene.

Traffic was backed up due to the crash incident. The driver of the motorcycle, a 42-year-old man, was flown from the scene by helicopter.

The driver’s condition at the time of transport was critical. Driver’s information is being withheld pending notification of family.
