A New Restaurant is Open in Hudson, We Want to Know What you Think!

HUDSON - Jimmie's Old Southern Smokehouse is now open and has been serving customers for the last couple weeks.

It's Hudson's newest barbecue joint, serving fast-casual food. Customers order at the counter and have delicious barbecue delivered to your table.

I tried this for the first time today. My husband and I each got the Memphis Platter and took it To Go. I looked in the Bag and thought they forgot to put the meat on the platter. Needless to say, portions are very small. For $23 for the 2 of us I thought we would get more for the money. The food itself was ok, at least it wasn't dry, but a bit on the Greasy side. I doubt I would go back here considering all the great restaurants in Hudson.

First visit - Brisket sandwich was good but over priced $9

My wife had make your own bowl - very little pulled pork, two sides of rice less than 1/2 cup and dried out with a hint of Cole slaw. Very small quantity for the price

$22 for marginal value although the meat tasted good.

Have been 3 times now and after my experience today I do not think I will be back. Food is great, but the service is something to be desired. I'm a kitchen manager so I know how to delegate people and get food out in a timely manner. Today I ordered togo because I was in a hurry. Over the next 25 minutes I watched as my food sat on a counter waiting to be bagged up and given to me. I counted at least 3 employees standing around doing absolutely nothing, finally a manager grabbed it and started to bag it up. Then the phone rang and she took the phone call!!! meanwhile my food sat on a back counter still just waiting to be bagged up. Finally almost 30 minutes later I get my food. When I got home to eat quickly I found that my cornbread was missing as well as my extra side order of coleslaw, not to mention my food was stone cold. So I will not be back, too bad as its right down the street from me.

Really good! Went on their second day open without realizing they had just opened. The set up is really nice, very clean and well organized. The employees are very friendly and approachable as well. I thought the menu was good sized, and prices weren't bad for the most part. The brisket is very tasty, very good in the build your own bowl. The only thing I didn't really like was the soupy mac and cheese. I've already been back, and am very excited to have this option in town!

They just opened earlier this week, heard about it and decided to give it a try. I ordered ribs along with a couple of sides and corn muffin tops. The service was great, friendly staff and quick service. The prices were also good. The food was great! A great addition to Hudson!
