DUNN COUNTY, WI -- Authorities say road conditions early Monday may have contributed to a crash in which a 44-year-old Menomonie woman died in a two-vehicle accident.
On Tuesday afternoon, authorities identified the deceased driver as 44-year-old Amy Lynn Kahl from Menomonie. Jessica Marie Bauer, a 33-year-old woman from Plum City, was named by authorities as the person behind the wheel of the pickup truck that was struck when Kahl's vehicle crossed the center line of the road.
According to the Wisconsin State Patrol - Eau Claire post, Kahl was driving her 2006 Ford Mustang south on Highway 25 when her vehicle crossed over into oncoming traffic.

Authorities say her vehicle collided with a 2008 Dodge Ram driven by Bauer. Kahl was transported to Menomonie hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. Authorities say she was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash.
Officials say the crash happened on Highway 25, about a quarter-mile north of 420th Street. Bauer was uninjured in the crash, authorities say.
