21-Year-Old Madison Man Dies in Jackson County Crash

A 21-year-old Madison man died in a Jackson County crash. Authorities say his 2007 BMW went airborne before rolling over.

JACKSON COUNTY, WI — A 21-year-old Madison man is dead after a crash early morning Thursday in Jackson County.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, at approximately 1:01 a.m., the officers were requested by the Jackson County Sheriffs Department to respond to a single vehicle crash on I-94 at MM 116 west bound..

The crash was discovered by a Black River Falls Police officer.

Upon arrival it was discovered the lone occupant and driver, a 21 year old male from Madison was deceased.

An initial investigation indicates the driver of the vehicle, a 2007 BMW, was originally on Highway 54 and attempted to turn onto the I-94 ramp, traveled sideways, went air born over the eastbound lanes of I-94, landed on the guardrail in the median, traveled across the west bound lanes and rolled into the westbound shoulder area.

The name of the driver is being withheld pending notification of the family. The crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
