Palencia Dental, Filling the Gap raises record-breaking $24,000 for Wildflower Clinic and ALS Association

Stephanie Kinsey, DDS, owner and founder of Palencia Dental and the non-profit organization Filling the Gap, along with record-breaking support and attendance from sponsors, patients, friends and family held a fundraising event on August 26 at the Pioneer Barn and Old Florida Museum in St. Augustine. The event attracted more than 150 guests and raised $24,000 for the Wildflower Clinic, which provides free medical and dental care to needy individuals and families in St. Johns County. Additionally, the event supported the ALS Association (Lou Gehrig’s disease) as ALS claimed the life of Dr. Kinsey’s father last year. Since 2014, Filling the Gap has helped to fund local charities through annual events and numerous philanthropic activities.

The party featured live music dance band Take Cover. Local business Uppity Art served as the top sponsor along with key sponsors Orthopedic Associates of St. Augustine and Transworld Business Advisors. New sponsors were Pantaleon Pathology Associates and Ancient City Accounting, along with First Coast Wealth Advisors and Stat Courier. In kind sponsors were Burkhart Sales and Service, Cousart Studios, and Thrivent Financial. The event featured drinks, hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction which yielded more than $3,500 in donations. Dr. Stephanie Kinsey has been practicing dentistry for more than 20 years. Her St. Augustine, northwest St. Johns County dentistry practice is dedicated to restoring and enhancing the natural beauty of one’s smile combining conservative and state-of-the-art procedures along with advanced dental medicine.
