Ride The Drive Madison: These Roads Will Be Closed Sunday

A number of roads will be blocked off on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

MADISON, WI—A number of streets will be closed this Sunday for the city’s annual Ride the Drive biking event. From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., areas in and around Warner Park, Kennedy Park and Wingra Park will be blocked off to motorists for the safety of participants.

Ride the Drive, a free event designed to encourage activity, will take place in four different Madison neighborhoods this year—an effort to spread out bikers as a COVID-19 precaution. Participants can choose to take their 2-mile spin in either Warner, Kennedy, Wingra or Marlborough Park beginning at 9 a.m. until noon.

    • Forster Drive--Woodward Drive to Becker Drive
    • Woodward Drive—Marcy Road to Sheridan Drive (the Warner Park Boat Launch will remain open only from Farwell Drive)
    • Sheridan Drive—Woodward Drive to Wyldewood Drive
  • Kennedy Park Route
    • Meadowlark Drive—Flint Lane to Twin Oaks Drive
    • Twin Oaks Drive—Meadowlark Drive to Valley Road
    • Valley Road—Twin Oaks Drive to Quiet Lane
    • Quiet Lane—Valley Road to Shady Wood Way
    • Shady Wood Way
    • Valley Road—Shady Wood Way to Retana Drive
  • Wingra Park Route
    • Arbor Drive
    • West Lawn Avenue—Monroe Street to Edgewood Avenue
