District Hires New Principal at Ben Franklin

The Menomonee Falls School District has named Cassie Martin the new principal at Ben Franklin Elementary. 

Martin steps into the leadership position at the school after Steve Bold announced he would resign. Bold is working through personal challenges, according to a January news release from the school district. 

Martin brings experience as a principal, assistant principal, department chair, alternative program administrator and teacher to Menomonee Falls’ largest elementary school.

Martin most recently was principal at Barton Elementary School in West Bend, and served in that position since 2011. Before that, she was Washington County Head Start director for three years. She served as assistant high school principal for two years, math department chair for one year and a math teacher for five years.

“Our leadership team is remarkably strong. Cassie Martin is another great addition to the team,” said Superintendent Dr. Patricia Greco. “Cassie is passionate about making a difference in the lives of every child, and she deeply talented in working with families and staff in leading a strong school culture. We are very fortunate to have Cassie joining us.”

Martin is a cum laude graduate with a degree in math education from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She is a magna cum laude graduate with a degree in educational leadership and curriculum and instruction from Cardinal Stritch University.

Martin has presented at various state education conferences and school districts on professional learning communities and interventions. She has been trained on Continuous
