Menomonee Falls High School has selected Kym Remillard to lead the girls’ gymnastics program.

Remillard was a longtime coach at West Bend East. Remillard will oversee the cooperative program of Menomonee Falls and Germantown High Schools.

“I am really looking forward to be working with a new team and coaching staff. Everyone here has made me feel welcome,” Remillard said.

Menomonee Falls Athletic Director Ryan Anderson noted the amount of experience Remillard will bring with her from the start. Remillard replaces Tracy Howard who coached the gymnastics team for over two decades.

“The selection team and I are excited to add Kym Remillard to the MFHS coaching staff,” Anderson said. “Kym brings an incredible amount of experience at the high school and collegiate levels.  She has worked with some of the best coaches in the state of Wisconsin. Her excitement for the program will be contagious with the girls that she will work with.

And Remillard already has a positive impression of her new gymnasts.

“I have been able to meet some of gymnasts and they all had great personalities and they were just as excited and I am,” said Remillard.

Remillard will be seeking an assistant coach.  The position is posted on WECAN and applicants are encouraged to apply no later than July 15, 2013.  If you have questions about the opening, please call MFHS Athletic Director, Ryan Anderson.
