Falls Wrestlers Continue to Dominate

The Indians defeated the Sussex Hamilton Chargers handily Thursday.

The Menomonee Falls varsity wrestling team continued its winning ways Thursday against cross-town rivals Sussex Hamilton.

The Indians defeated the Chargers 68-6 on the home mats. The Indians continue to be a dominant team in the Greater Metro Conference, and the team loaded with ranked talent.

Here’s where individual Falls wrestlers stand according the latest Division 1 state rankings:

  • 106 Pounds: Aaron Daly, sophomore, #9
  • 113 Pounds: Jerrot Holz, freshman, #13
  • 120 Pounds: Billy Holz, sophomore, #7
  • 182 Pounds: Ayoola Olapo, senior, #4

Junior Jake Fuiten was named the team’s wrestler of the week. Between Jan. 7 and Jan. 12, Fuiten went 4-1, and took 5th place in the Sauk Prairie Varsity Tournament. The team travels to West Allis Central for its next varsity meet at 7 p.m. Jan. 17.
