Goodbye Trees, Hello Village Hall Parking Lot

Work crews are beginning the process of tearing down a property purchased by the village to expand parking at Village Hall.

Crews Tuesday had cut down the trees and were chipping the remains on site.

The project would expand existing parking by 44 stalls and alleviate parking issues that arise during Municipal Court nights, and meetings that are held at Village Hall. It’s a project that’s been on the village’s radar for well over a year.

Razing the building and installing the lot will cost $257,000. The village purchased the property in 2011 for $417,500.
