Germantown, Wis. – I/O Technologies, southeastern Wisconsin’s premier source for custom software and software support solutions, is celebrating 25 years of software development and programming for clients in Wisconsin, across the U.S. and around the world.

Founded in 1994, I/O Technologies provides tailored software that simplifies day-to-day business activities, and gathers, transfers and reports key business information – all of which lead to better decisions and lower operating costs. Its customized software solutions provide a reliable alternative to off-the-shelf packages that might – or might not – perform as needed.

“We are beyond thrilled to celebrate 25 years of providing custom software development services that help our clients focus on their core business needs and boost profitability,” said Jeanie Martin, President of I/O Technologies. “We have grown our geographic reach, and ability to serve clients in almost any market segment, through attention to detail, and ability to deliver software solutions that address ever-changing business challenges.”

I/O Technologies differs from many software developers in two big ways. I/O Technologies’ customers own their finished software, specifically designed to meet their precise needs. No need to “rent” software, i.e., pay an annual licensing fee from a faceless company. No arguments over who owns the data or source code.

I/O Technologies also provides support for legacy software products, especially Fox Pro, that many companies still use. Older software applications frequently don’t transfer over to new or upgraded equipment systems. Rather than having to purchase an entirely new software suite – read, expensive – I/O Technologies can usually design a cost-effective solution to continue using the legacy software.

I/O Technologies was founded by Dave Martin, Jeanie’s husband. Dave was working for a bank, while running a small programming business on the side. When the bank was sold, he turned his love of programming into a full-time operation. The company’s first project was writing a document preparation software application for an insurance agency in Tomah, Wis., Dave’s hometown.

I/O Technologies has three programmers on staff (including Dave Martin), each averaging 12 years of experience. Its small size allows quick response to customers’ questions and requests, and the ability to provide high-quality programming services at a reasonable cost.

Obviously, much has changed in 25 years, especially in the fast-evolving technology arena.

“Certainly the Internet has advanced by leaps and bounds,” Jeanie Martin said. “Most applications we write communicate over the web either as web servers, web clients or data transfer agents. We connect remotely to our clients in the U.S. and abroad. Everyone realizes significant cost savings by our no longer having to be on-site for service.”

I/O Technologies offers free proprietary software programs for everyday management and office needs: managing contacts, assigning work duties and integrating QuickBooks. Its FastPunch electronic timeclock software is an efficiency-oriented upgrade for companies still using physical timecard punch clocks.

The Milwaukee Business Journal has included I/O Technologies for several years in its “Largest Milwaukee-Area Software Product Companies” list.

I/O Technologies is a longtime member of the Germantown Area Chamber of Commerce, where Jeanie Martin chairs the board of directors. The company has supported many causes, including the Germantown High School Scholarship Fund, Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School and Feeding America.

I/O Technologies offers a free initial consultation for all projects. Its talented team works closely with clients throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure satisfaction with their new software. More information is available at www.iotechno.com, or by calling (262) 437-3239.
