Indians Defend Conference Title, Begin State Tourney Tuesday

The Menomonee Falls girls softball team defended their conference title Saturday at home in Willowood Park.

The Indians defeated Brookfield Central to notch a 2-0 win, and capture the Greater Metro Conference crown by a single game. The Indians finished the season with a 14-4 overall record, and a 12-2 conference record. The Indians exacted revenge against Brookfield Central after a 3-2 loss April 25 on the road at Brookfield.

The Indians will start the road to a state title at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday at the Menomonee Falls Little League Complex. The third-seeded Indians will host the 14 seed Milwaukee Hamilton.
