Kids Learn to Save, Pedal Off on New Wheels
Guaranty Bank manager built bikes and presented them to children Wednesday during a leadership meeting at the Radisson Hotel.
Kids from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee learned the basics of money, and left with a new set of wheels Wednesday.
Guaranty Bank, the Radisson Hotel, and Walmart teamed up for the event. Kids attended a miniature finance class, while about 50 branch managers assembled donated bicycles. Each child also received a helmet.
Building the bikes was part of a daylong leadership seminar for the bank, which was also held at the Radisson.
It was the first year Guaranty Bank hosted the event, which could soon become a company-wide initiative.
