Kohl's Names New Chief Marketing Officer Greg Revelle, Formerly Of Best Buy

Kohl's is looking to revitalize the brand after 2016 shutdown of 18 stores and layoffs.

MENOMONEE FALLS - Kohl's announced Monday that Greg Revelle, formerly of Best Buy and Expedia, will join the company as chief marketing officer.

A statement released by Kohl's said Revelle will oversee marketing organization and strategy, focusing on enhancing customer loyal, accelerating traffic, and continuing to build the Kohl's brand.

“I am excited to join Kohl’s and be part of such a strong brand with a great culture,” said Revelle. “In serving millions of families across the country, Kohl’s has deep connections with its customers and is well-positioned to be a leader in loyalty and personalized marketing. I’m energized by all of the opportunity ahead.”

Prior to joining Kohl's, Revelle had a similar position as chief marketing officer at Best Buy. Prior his Best Buy position, he had stints as chief marketing officer at AutoNationa, vice president of worldwide online marketing at Expedia, and investment banker at Credit Suisse.

Kohl's hired on Revelle to help the company "elevate and accelerate our loyalty and personalization efforts to help reach our goal of becoming the most engaging retailer in America." Kohl's had some trouble in early 2016, when they closed 18 stores and laid off more than 1,500 employees following a 20% drop in fourth-quarter profit.
