Sgt. Joseph Serio Works With Menomonee Falls Recruiters

Menomonee Falls native and Army Soldier, Sgt. Joseph A. Serio is temporarily stationed at the Menomonee Falls Recruiting Station until the end of July.

He is here as a part of the Army’s Special Recruiting Assistance Program to raise awareness about Army programs and benefits in the Menomonee Falls area.

The former varsity golfer at Menomonee Falls High School joined the Army in 2014 as a Cavalry Scout.

Joining the Army was “something I always wanted to do,” said Serio.

He said that the benefits are great and he intends to stay in the Army as a career.

As a Cavalry Scout, Serio does reconnaissance behind enemy lines.

“We find the enemy and get out without being seen or heard,” he said.

His current home base is Joint Base Lewis McChord in Washington State. He has also been stationed at Fort Hood, Tx., where he deployed to South Korea for nine months.

While here, Serio plans to speak about his Army experiences at the recruiting office, and other places in area.
