Menomonee Falls Business Holds Free Safety Awareness Class April 19
Malissa Misch, owner of the business, had the idea for a free class after a string of recent crimes in the Falls.

MENOMONEE FALLS - Malissa K. Misch, owner of MK Protection Strategies, is hosting a free safety awareness training session for community members Wednesday, April 19, at the Menomonee Falls Public Library, W156 N8436 Pilgrim Road.
Misch was inspired to host the free hour-long class after a string of recent crimes in the community, specifically a child enticement incident March 19 in Rotary Park in which a man tried to get three girls into his car.
In an interview with Northwest Now, Misch explains the technique called Cooper's Color Code of Mental Awareness, a color-coded program based on four levels of awareness from white (completely unaware) to red (during a crisis situation). She cautions that people aren't always prepared for an unsafe situation because they go from "white" to "red," without experiencing the yellow and orange levels where one has their guard up.
