Menomonee Falls Early Leader in '16 Home Construction
After flat 2015, permits to build new houses in Milwaukee Metro area are off to a running start.

Construction of new homes in 2016 is off to a running start, with Menomonee Falls leading the way.
According to an article published by the Journal Sentinel, permits to build new houses and duplexes in the Milwaukee Metro area jumped 26 percent in the first quarter of 2016 after housing starts were down 1 percent in 2015.
In the first quarter (January through March), the most permits for single-family homes and duplexes were in Menomonee Falls, with 39, beating out Brookfield, Cedarburg, Hartland, Milwaukee, Sussex and Waukesha according to the Journal Sentinel.
