Parade of Homes Opens in Falls Saturday
Homes in the Quail Haven subdivision and another subdivision in Pewaukee will be open for showcasing starting Saturday.

For the latest in home design and architecture Falls residents don’t have to go much further than the village’s back yard.
The Metropolitan Builders Association Parade of Homes is opening to the public Aug. 18, and the Quail Haven subdivision in Menomonee Falls is a showcase for this year’s event. Seven new homes have been constructed in the neighborhood off of Marcy Road. The Still River subdivision in Pewaukee is also part of the parade.
In all, 14 different builders have constructed 16 different homes as part of the parade. The Parade of Homes will run daily from 4 to 8 p.m. on weekdays, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends until Sept. 9. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for children and seniors.

“One of the trends that you’ll see at the new homes is the emphasis placed on outdoor living spaces in addition to the living spaces inside the home,” said Parade of Homes Executive Director Kristine Hillmer. “People really want to feel that their backyards are and extension of the home.”
The companies that built and designed the homes in Falls include: Allan Builders LLC, Aspen Homes Inc., Belman Homes Inc., Demlang Builders Inc., Embassy Construction Corp. J. Anthony Homes & Designs LLC and Zach Building Co.

Hillmer said opportunities to purchase the showcase homes are running out. Already, six have already sold and just six more are on the market. For HIllmer, hosting the Parade of Homes is an honor for the communities chosen for involvement.
“I think it’s a way for the community to showcase to potential homebuyers why their community is a great place to live,” HIllmer said. “This area in the falls is no different than many others. There’s a great school district, and you still have the luxury of fine suburban living in Quail Haven.”
Tickets for the Parade of Homes can be purchased online, through various brokers, or at the gate. Participants can also receive $2 off of admission if you bring two non-perishable food items for donations.
