Police Beat: Gas Station Employee Fired After Stealing Lotto Tickets, Beef Jerky and More

A Wittlin's employee attempted to fund her own 'bonus' system, and jacked more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from the store in just three months.

A former employee was fired after her employers learned of her personal ‘bonus’ plan.

A 26-year-old female employee had worked at the gas station for roughly three months, but decided to add a few perks on the job. In that timeframe, she stole cigarettes, bottled drinks, beef jerky, candy bars, and lottery tickets while on the job.

The woman was caught on surveillance camera stealing the various items, and the owner estimated she has already cost the business over $1,000 losses. The owner plans to press charges against the woman, and she was also fired two days after filing a report with the police.
