Rare Treasures Await at Heritage Estate Settlement

Eric Grossmeyer will hold the first major estate sale from his shop just west of Sale's Pub and Grill on Main Street in Menomonee Falls.

There isn’t much room to walk around inside Eric Grossmeyer’s estate sale shop, Heritage Estate Settlement. That’s because is filled with rare treasures from people’s basements.

Whether it’s silverware, neon beer signs, paintings by famous artists, or an old-fashioned penny scale, you’ll probably find something that catches your eye in his shop. Prices range from $1 to $7,000.

Grossmeyer, a former market analyst, opened his storefront just west of Sal’s Pub and Grill on Main Street in downtown Menomonee Falls to sell inventory he has locked away in eight storage units in Lannon. Grossmeyer travels to roughly 15 estate sales every month around the country adding to the collection of items for sale in his shop.

If you plan on attending the sale Thursday, make sure you get your name on the list. Grossmeyer said antique buyers from around the region will line up early to purchase treasures for their own stores.

“We can only let some 15 or 20 people in at a time, so I’ll be sending people down to Nino’s for lunch while they wait,” Grossmeyer said. “Some people will be here around 2 a.m.”

Heritage doesn’t operate with regular business hours, yet. Instead, Grossmeyer will hold a major sale each month. However, he plans to experiment with regular business hours in the near future.
