The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s office conducted a sweep for bombs early this morning at North Middle School.

According to a release from the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office, the district requested the sweep after a bomb threat was found Thursday. The details about the threat are unknown at this time. The MCSD conducted an Explosive Ordinance Detection canine sweep. The sweep was conducted before classes commenced early Friday morning, and the results were negative.

This is the second sweep at a high school this week.  On Tuesday, the sheriff’s office responded to a bomb threat at Wauwatosa West High School.

Falls Superintendent Patricia Greco said the following statement was released Thursday night:

"During the afternoon hours of Thursday, April 25, 2013, a student reported the discovery of graffiti in a restroom at North Middle School indicating the threat of a bomb on “Friday.”  The Menomonee Falls Police Department was immediately notified and their assistance was requested in performing a search of the facility.  Other than the graffiti itself, nothing of concern was found during that search.  A second search will be completed by the Police Department using canine support before students will be allowed to enter the building tomorrow.
