HOPE Network Fundraiser

HOPE Network’s annual FUNdraiser is from 6-10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28 at Davians Banquet and Conference Center, 16300 W. Silver Spring Drive, Menomonee Falls (three mile west of Hwy. 45 exit). The event celebrates 30 years of HOPE Network serving families led by single mothers in the Greater Milwaukee area.

Prep Sports

The Indians varsity football team will look to carry over momentum from its big win over Sussex Hamilton last week, and welcome the Marquette Hiltoppers to Schumann Stadium.

The soccer team will play a road game against West Allis Central at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, and will play at a home game against Cedarburg at 7 p.m. Friday at Menomonee Falls High School.

The girls volleyball team will host Sussex Hamilton at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the high school.

School Board Meeting

The Menomonee Falls School Board will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at Village Hall. A reception for new teachers will be held at 5:30 p.m. in Room 123 of the Community Center.

Falls Library Presents Dolley Madison

On 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Menomonee Falls Public Library, Jessica Michna will portray “Dolley Madison, the Lady Who Saved Washington” at the Menomonee Falls Public Library. Mrs. Michna is a historical impressionist and has performed as Mrs. Mary Todd Lincoln, Mrs. Abigail Adams and Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt for the library in the past.

Wireless Workshop

Verizon Wireless is offering a free wireless workshop about the Android operating system at the company’s Menomonee Falls store, from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday at the store located at N95W18141 Appleton Ave. Reservations are required by registering online at www.verizonwireless.com/workshops

Tappy Hour

From 4-7 p.m. every Thursday, businesses will offer wine, beer, and appetizer specials that will only be available for “Tappy Hour”. Various art galleries and other downtown shops will also keep their doors open later. Additionally, the Cheesecake Store will feature some “sweet” deals on their beloved confections.
