Two-Year-Old Child Dies in Swimming Pool in Menomonee Falls

MENOMONEE FALLS -- A two-year-old boy died Monday afternoon in Menomonee Falls after he was found unresponsive in a swimming pool on Fond du Lac Ave.

According to a report by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the boy's father attempted to resuscitate him before police officers and firefighters arrived at 2:45 p.m. and continued lifesaving efforts, Village Police Lt. Kevin Von Bank told the JS. The child was taken by ambulance to Community Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:23 p.m.

The boy's death appears to be accidental and the incident remains under investigation.
