5 Milwaukee Area Wow! Houses With Must-Have Swimming Pools
Experts call pools a risk in all but the most sweltering states. But would you buy a million-plus-dollar property that doesn't have one?

MILWAUKEE, MI — Right, it’s not outdoor swimming pool season and there are months to go before it is. But getting financing and closing all take time, so even if you can’t dip your toe in the water until May or June, you should start searching now if a swimming pool is at the top of must-have amenities.
Because of the weather, Milwaukee isn’t on realtor.com’s Top 10 list of cities for pool-loving homeowners (not surprisingly, they’re concentrated in Arizona and Florida, the nation’s two steamiest states). They’re an asset in those states for sure, but in other areas of the country like Wisconsin, the value of a pool may be more intrinsic than tangible. Insurance costs can go up and the home value may go down, according to realtor.com.
For potential homebuyers who aren’t put off by the risk of a swimming pool, here are five properties in the Milwaukee area from realtor.com:
