1 Dead, 1 Seriously Injured When Cement Truck Backs Over Workers

The accident occurred when a cement truck backed over two construction workers, killing a Menomonee Falls woman and injuring a Kenosha man.

RACINE, WI — One person was killed and another was injured in an accident involving a cement truck Thursday morning, according to reports.

The accident took place around 8 a.m. on Ohio Street near Highway 11 and, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, two construction workers — including a 39-year-old woman from Menomonee Falls — were backed over by the cement truck. The woman was killed while the accident left the other worker, a 26-year-old Racine man, seriously injured in the accident.

The identities of the two workers are being withheld until their families have been notified, officials said.
