2-3 Inches Of Snow, -20 Degree Wind Chill Temps Coming

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for southeastern Wisconsin for Wednesday night into Thursday.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Freezing wind chill temperatures and blowing snow are all part of the forecast for Southeastern Wisconsin over the next two days.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for southeastern Wisconsin for Wednesday night into Thursday.

Weather observers say the snow is expected to overspread the area late this afternoon into the early evening hours, continuing through the night. North winds will become gusty tonight as well, which may lead to some blowing and drifting snow across the region.

Snow and patchy blowing snow will continue for much of the day Thursday. Wind chills late Thursday night and early Friday may approach 20 below zero in some locations.

Wednesday

A chance of rain and snow, mainly after 5 p.m. Increasing clouds, with a high near 37. Southwest wind 10 to 15 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Wednesday Night

A chance of rain and snow before 7 p.m., then snow. Patchy blowing snow after 2 a.m. Low around 13. Wind chill values between zero and 10. Blustery, with a southwest wind 10 to 15 miles per hour becoming north 15 to 20 miles per hour after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Thursday

Snow likely before noon. Patchy blowing snow before noon. Cloudy, with a high near 17. Wind chill values between -5 and zero. Blustery, with a north wind 15 to 20 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 30 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Thursday Night
Partly cloudy, with a low around -3. Wind chill values between -5 and -15. Northwest wind around 10 miles per hour.
