$22.9 Million Case High School Aquatic Center Approved

Milwaukee-based J.H Findorff and Son won approval to be the general contractor for the Case High School aquatic center project.

RACINE, WI — The path has been cleared for construction on a new $22.5 million Case High School aquatic facility to begin after School Board officials approved a general contractor.

On Friday, the Board approved hiring J.H. Findorff and Son from Milwaukee to head up the project as a general contractor during a special meeting of the board held virtually.

During the course of the meeting, Findorff submitted the lowest bid, coming in at about $21.3 million. The estimate of the project is $22.9 million.

The following companies submitted bids, according to School Board documents:

  • $24.7 million: Gilbane
  • $21.4 million: Scherrer
  • $23.1 million: J.P. Cullen
  • $23.1 million: Camosy

According to district figures, the roughly 52,000 square foot facility will be built on a 27-acre plot of land just west of the school.
