47-Year-Old Franksville Woman Died In Crash
Police in Caledonia say a woman pulled out in front of an oncoming semi truck and sustained severe injuries in the late Friday crash.

RACINE COUNTY, WI — A 47-year-old Franksville woman died in a crash involving a semi truck late Friday, local police say.
Authorities identified Kristin Halverson of Franksville as the deceased. Authorities said a 63-year-old man from Burlington was behind the wheel of the semi truck, and was uninjured, Caledonia police said in a news release.
According to Caledonia police, officers were sent to the intersection of Golf Road and the East Frontage Road just before 10 p.m. on Friday on a report of an accident between a car and a semi truck.

Police said the semi was heading north on the East Frontage Road when a car driven by Halverson was traveling west on Golf Road.
Police said Halverson stopped for a stop sign at the intersection, and then pulled out in front of the semi truck, which did not have a stop sign.

Caledonia police said her car was struck in the driver's side by the semi truck, with Halverson sustaining severe injuries in the crash.
Authorities said Halverson died at the scene of the crash.
