The show shall be in support of local actress Abigail Lea and her feature film debut; comedy-thriller movie ‘Murderville, USA’. Abigail has been cast as the leading role in the movie and shall begin filming in October in California. The film follows Lea’s character, journalist Evelyn Van Fleet, as she investigates a series disappearances in the search of a ‘good story’. But Evelyn ends up getting more than she bargained for as the chase spirals into mayhem! Abigail said of the movie;

“It is a true original; blending dry witty humor and moments slapstick style physical comedy with a crime-thriller plot. My character; Evelyn, is also a complex and fully-fleshed out woman who doesn’t rely on a male protagonist for her on-screen ‘purpose’, something which is sadly rare to see in film," she told Patch. "I was excited when director Travis Clinton Lipski asked me to come on board as a producer. I feel privileged to help bring this story to life."

The indie film has a budget of $100,000 and needs to the raise the last $5,000 so they can keep their current investors. If they meet their budget goals by June 1st the movie can go ahead into production, if they don’t, they shall have to cancel or postpone filming.

Abigail shall also be releasing a fundraising campaign on Indigo-go at the end of the month. They hope that with support from friends, family and their arts community, that this movie shall be alive and kicking come June.
