Gateway to Host Brown Bag Lunch Event to Help Veterans Discover Workforce, College Benefits

Gateway Technical College will host a series of brown bag lunch discussions focused on helping veterans discover the educational benefits and services they are able to obtain through the Division of Workforce Development and Gateway.

All meetings will be noon to 1:30 p.m. The first meeting will be held Nov. 1 in the Michigan Room (R113) of the Conference Center on Gateway’s Racine Campus, 1001 Main St. Meetings will be held at all three of Gateway’s campuses.

The format of all the meetings will be the same, directed by Workforce Development and Gateway representatives. Much of the November programs will focus on a guide to veteran’s educational benefits directed by David Rueth, regional coordinator, Division of Veterans Benefits, Department of Veterans.

Gateway will also offer insight on how veterans can make their Gateway education successful, and Gateway counselors who work with veterans will be introduced and on hand for questions.

There will be time for questions from the audience, as well.
