Another Landmark Credit Union Robbed at Gunpoint
Racine police say the Landmark Credit Union on Grove Avenue was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday, less than 24 hours after the Mount Pleasant location was also robbed at gunpoint.

The Racine Police Department is asking for the public's help apprehending the man who robbed Landmark Credit Union at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon.
According to a press release from RPD, a man wielding a handgun approached a teller at the Grove Avenue location shortly after noon and demanded money. He was given an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing on foot, going east toward West Blvd.

- Wearing black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black shoes
This is the second armed robbery of a Landmark Credit Union. Just yesterday, two men - one with a silver handgun - robbed the Mount Pleasant branch on Washington Avenue.
Sgt. Martin Pavalonis of the Racine Police Department told Patch that investigators are working with Landmark to secure any surveillance video if any exists. He also expects to work with Mount Pleasant police if applicable since there are similarities between the two incidents.

"There are some obvious similarities with these two recent robberies, but we are very early in this investigation," he wrote in an email. "The Racine PD has a worked closely with the Mount Pleasant Police Department on numerous investigations and, if the incidents are related, this robbery investigation would be no different."
