Authorities Name Woman Who Died In Crash That Injured 10

There were a total of ten injured passengers and three of them had to be extricated from the cars.

RACINE COUNTY, WI — One person was killed and nine others injured in a crash in rural Racine County on Sunday as blizzard-like conditions made driving difficult in southeastern Wisconsin, officials said.

On Monday, authorities identified the woman who died in that crash: 32-year-old Elizabeth Olszewski.

Around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Racine County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the area of Highway 20 and 63rd Drive for a two-car crash with multiple injuries.

Authorities said a vehicle traveling east on Highway 20 near 63rd Drive lost control and crossed the center line striking a westbound vehicle. Authorities say Olszewski was a passenger in the vehicle that was struck by the vehicle that crossed the center line.

There were a total of ten injured passengers and three of them had to be extricated from the cars. The survivors of the crash were treated for critical injuries, authorities said.

The roadway on Highway 20 between 63 rd Dr and S Colony Avenue reopened later Sunday.
