According to a story from The Journal Times, the Eagles' tough defense helped seal their victory, forcing turnovers that turned into points for Case.

But they weren't slacking on offense, either, pulling senior Zack Brenner off the bench to do what he does best; shoot and make 3-pointers. Combined with junior D'Angelo Jackson's 11 points - including a slam dunk - and solid efforts by the rest of the team, the Eagles were 35-19 at the end of the 3rd quarter, pulling ahead to 54-40 by the final buzzer.
