Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week: Armed Robbery in Racine

Racine Police are asking for the community's help to apprehend the suspect of an armed robbery over the weekend at Family Dollar at 2300 Rapids Drive.

According to witnesses, at 4:31 p.m. Saturday, the suspect entered the store and approached the counter. He pointed a black, semi-automatic handgun at the victim and placed a note on the counter demanding money. The victim handed over an unspecified amount of money, and the suspect fled, last seen on Layard Avenue.

  • Black male
  • 50 - 60 years old
  • 175 - 195 pounds
  • Last seen wearing a grey cap, yellow coat, white t-shirt and khaki pants.
