Democrats to Take to Streets for Obama on Saturday

The Stand Up and Vote effort is coming to Racine this weekend, with a day of action set for Saturday. Obama supporters are expected to go door-to-door talking with people about the upcoming election.

The Obama-Biden campaign has put out a call for supporters to come together Saturday to talk with Racine area residents about the Democratic candidates.

Using Mitt Romney's recent pick of Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Janesville, as the hook, the campaign says:

As Wisconsinites, we know Ryan best, and we've seen how hard he has worked throughout his career to reward millionaires and billionaires at the expense of seniors and working, middle-class families. It's the opposite of everything we've been fighting for.

The Stand Up Wisconsin day of action is set to start at 9 a.m., and to send supporters out into neighborhoods to talk with people door-to-door about the race and the issues.
